i'm painting the shock relocation kit i got from 55willy chevy orange. would it be cool to paint my diff covers orange too? i'm just asking if it would look stupid or not. Misourri Off road Outfitters paints their stuff yellow, why not have orange parts? i was thinking maybe even paint my shocks orange and get some black rancho stickers for them... i'm gonna primer grey the rest of the sub soon and i think it'd look kinda cool with some orange parts.

my diff houseings are painted orange. Also the inside of the engine bay and most of the motor are orange also. It looks pretty good but kinda clashes with the teal color on the rest of the truck.

Duh...Special Officer Doofy Reporting for duty, lol. Yeah, whatever tickles your fancy. I paint everything yellow, what you like is most important. I would have to give the big thumbs down to primer only though. Primer LOOOOVES to soak up moisture like a sponge. Finish it off with some cheap flat or semi-gloss if you want an inexpensive and durable finish. Hell, just Herculine the whole exterior, haha /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

i'm gonna paint the sub dark metallic blue with a white stripe down the sides. so the primer is a temporary thing oh and when i get it all grey i'm gonna buy some red primer and do flames on it.

My theory is never paint somthing my wife can make fun of. I just know If I went with the black and orange scheme she would say "what are you getting ready for halloween?" And yellow/black she would call me the bumble bee or somthing so I try to stay black on black as much as possable. Except for the drivetrain. Its too hard to find a leak with a black engine/tranny/tcase.

But thats just me, do what ever tickles your pickle.

Bitchin'! The flame idea sounds kinda fun because primer is sooooo forgiving to work with. You could probably get something pretty cool looking. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I did my axles in black bedliner spray and painted my diff covers blue to go with the dark blue on my truck. Looks cool as heck. As for the flames well I've had some experience there. go with the modern flame and stretch it all the way back. It is easy to tape off and easy to repair. I'd go with the black flame on gray primer. Looks nice and is less tacky. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif LOL
