cool rear bumper in mag

    the magazine is 4 wheel drive, june 2001 page 58, the guy made a cool tube bumper, it has 2 swinging attachments, the passenger side holds the tire the drivers side holds a jerry can/tools, unfortanely its on a '74 bronco. has anybody else done this?

    I get my mag. subscriptions a couple of months early. I bring the mag into work, I can use a scanne here. I'll post it tommorrow.

    that bumper is made by wild horses 4x4 in stockton ca......my friend has one on his 70 bronco....they were kind pricy too tho..about 500 for the rear and 400 for the front...

    yep after looking at that pic...it is a wild horses bumper...they are very simple looking...on the hinge joints they have brass inserts and to keep them from opening up goin down the road they took 2 large nuts and made them into a wing nut type of thing and just screw them down a put the locking pin in....on the top of the jerry can there is a place to put a ice chest...i want to try to build on similer to put on my k5 but i suck at welding so my be a little problem....i have been trying to get the owner of wild horses to start carying things for blazers but he wont do it...he said there was too much competion out there already...

    After this week in Moab, I'm done with crap hanging on the outside of the Blazer, at the extreme angles I get into it just gets pushed back into the tailgate and I think if I mount my spare towards the center of the K5 it will help with weight distribution.
