If you move your cursor over doorways, click on them and you can get complete history of the places. Kinda cool if you're into things like that. I find it intresting because Deadwood is only 35 miles down the road from me.

I thought the historical info was great too. I'm a bit of a history buff myself, and I've been there once before, but that was years ago when I was a kid.

Anyway I got this email today from the guys on the site:
    [ QUOTE ]

I was checking out the traffic statistics on www.digitaldeadwood.com when I
stumbled upon the URL for the conversation you've been having on the ColoradoK5
forum. I'd love to simply post a reply up there for everyone to see, but it
seems like a rather expensive endeavor to join ColoradoK5 solely for a single
post... I hope you don't mind the e-mail instead.

I'm one of the developers of Digital Deadwood, so I thought I'd address some of
the questions you've raised on the board.

First off, I apologize if it's been crashing your computer. It's still a beta,
and although we've been testing it on upwards of a dozen different
platform/browser configurations, there may still be stability issues. If you
experience crashes twice or more, please contact me so we can isolate the
    problem.

Secondly - the objective. :-) The HistoryLink data on Deadwood's buildings and
people is the biggest feature now, although in the near future we will be
adding mini-games, larger quest games, real-time chat, and expanded avatar
customization, among other things. Check out the news page at
http://www.digitaldeadwood.com/news.html for more info on upcoming features
(see the sidebar at the right). If you have any suggestions, please let me
    know.

I hope that clears up some of the confusion. Again, if you have any questions,
concerns, or general input, please let me know. Many thanks!

Re: Cool website - Update, it\'s up and running now.

Got another update from them today.
Looks like they're adding some cool new features, I'll have to get on there and check it out somemore after my midterm tomorrow. Anyway here is the latest update.

    [ QUOTE ]

Many thanks for posting my last note to the ColoradoK5 message board. I thought I’d give you a little update to pass along to your friends who were also interested in Digital Deadwood.

We’ve brought the chat feature online this morning, although we’re still working out the bugs. I encourage y’all to go up and check it out (www.digitaldeadwood.com). Any comments or suggestions are welcome. We’ll be adding extra avatar customizations sometime next week (clothing, hair, skin tones, etc.), which should make chat much more engaging. Thanks again!
