I think I have a leak somewhere, cause my radiator gets low after a few days, and maybe 20 miles its a few inches low and I have to fill it up. There is no sign of a leak anywhere around the radiator or hoses, heater core or water pump, and the oil level is steadily declining as usual without any sign of water in it. I don't smell any coolant, and don't see any leaks...is there something I'm missing? Thanks

leaky head gasket? have you tried a compression and leak down test? that may tell you if you head gasket is going south.

I would have thought that, but there is no water in the oil and I don't see any signs of leaks on the side of the engine...

Just goto NAPA and get a block tester, and that will tell you if your head gasket is leaking. Its like a blue liquid.

Figures out where it was coming from...the water pump gasket is leaking...I'm going to replace the water pump while I'm in there, since its pretty cheap and has 165K on it...

You might try tightening the bolts up a hair more, you'd be surpised what a couple more ft-lbs of torque will do.

(had the same problem, the bolts were just a hair loose)
