On all the other small blocks I've rebuilt the sensor has been between the 1/3 cylinders on the drivers side. Is there any problem putting it in the other head near the rear on the pass. side? I just put a set of heads on and that's the way they were on before. The plug on the driver's side doesn't want to budge.

Should'nt be a problem. Most of the heat is near #7 and #8 cylinder's anyhow. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

So if it ain't overheating back there it probably isn't overheating.

I kind of figured temps would be highest there, but didn't know if the readings would be innacurate there.
