Ok, so I'm back from the Farmer's Market with a load of fresh picked sweet white corn on the cob. After cooking, the clan is sitting around chowing down. I look over at the missus as she is finishing up her cob. I notice she studies the cob, and then attacks it in random places every bite. I'm getting ready to clean up and she hands me her corn. This thing looks like it got tied behind a truck and drug over 50 miles of cobblestone. There is easily 20% of the corn still left on it in patches. I check out the chilluns and thank the deity of your choice that some of my blood made it in them because they are following Dad's lead. Ever efficient in the inhalation of food substances, I of course am systematic in the removal of corn from the cob. Work a row, rotate, work a row. No bite too big to leave some behind, no bite too small not to fill the mouth. When I'm done, you could use the cob as a dowel pin on a sailing vessel. So, with that in mind, poll away.......

Need more options. I eat mine in rings so to speak rather than rows.

So far the corn I have had here in OK pretty much sucks (could be from the drought) small kernels, tough and not very tasty.

I cut it off the cob as I cant stand to have the kernel pieces stuck in my teeth:o . It is also a carry over from when I had braces as a kid.

My Grand pa would either use the lil Corn holders or use a butter knife and cut from top to bottom and skin his... the corn cob. Now as for me I can eat a ton of corn on the cob. a couple of years ago we picked and shucked a ton O corn and My Brother and I for about two weeks straight we just fixed piles of Corn on the cob I mean Lunch and Dinner. My wife now hates corn, But i love it. I mean what other food do you know that you can chew and devour and it comes back out whole. I bet you could swallow a whole cob and get back a whole cob.:haha: :haha: :haha:  Anywho I eat the type method unles in race it is the Chinken wing method chomp and strip. I think I could eat about ten pounds of corn at once... Welll maybe

Wonder if they let the cob dry up first or used them while they were still soft and moist to aid in gliding across the cheeks? :doah: :haha:
