Almost lost a load of data on my computer - it died (Dell laptop) and thankfully was only the motherboard, which they came out and replaced and all is well..........however, makes me wonder about backups. I already do 'normal backups' of all my emails and 'My Documents' so that is covered, but I have a ton of websites that are saved in my 'Favorites' that I need to know how to save them somewhere. Gotta be a way, figure one of you techie dudes would know.

Also, how do I remove something from the start menu - I want to kill something that automatically starts when I start the computer.

    Thanks........... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

to remove from the start menu, what OS are you running?

Frank to stop things from starting up at startup click start run and type msconfig and hit enter then just click the startup tab /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif as for your favorites just copy the favorites folder and send it to yourself in a email or save it to a disk /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
