hey gang, need a cheesy little part to complete my D60 build... and its one so cheesy and unimportant seeming that no one seems to carry them so I need help ID'ing em, part #s, and ideas on where I might find 'em would be awesome.

the part: when you remove the factory steering arm there is a short fat spring under the arm... underneath the spring is a small metal spring retainer that rests on top of the nylon (i think!) cone spacer thingy. That retainer is what I need. It basically looks like a thin steel washer that is... 1.5" or so across... that has a little lip that the inner edge of the spring rests on. The D60 manual on this site simply called it the "spring retainer"... ok... where would I get one? parts stores dont seem to have any idea... part #? will I have to order from Spicer or Boyce or something?

    TIA guys,

    J

I believe that Randy's Ring and Pinion sells complete rebuild kits for the upper or lower knuckle support assemblies.

not sure why you want a pic now, you were after a part number and I think I gave that?

sounds like you have a handle on reassembly(ceptin maybe how to bolt on brake brackets /forums/images/icons/wink.gif ) so I wont send you to the dana 60 manual that Steve hosts on this site
