    crew cab 4x4 \"edited\"

Thought I'd post this while I search. Going to look at a 6pack 4x4. All the ones Ive seen were 1ton. Did chevy put out any 3/4 ton 4x4 6packs?
Got my fingers crossed. Hoping Ive found my running gear.

That was a quick search. Found a post from K30GUY that had the info I needed. Still got fingers crossed.

6packs???? are you talking about 3, 2 barrel carbs??? I don't think they were ever offered on a truck.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the 3+3's. Crew cab trucks. I've heard them called both things. The 6 pax term only seemed to apply to the SRW crew cabs though. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Exactly, I forgot about the 3+3 badge.
I talked to the guy on the phone. His dad gave it to him. He doesent know if its a 1ton. He wants to keep the engine and utility bed thats on it. Fine with me.

Yep, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a SRW crew cab while on vacation in Colorado at Pagosa Springs once. I was excited seeing the CC sitting in the parking lot at a grocery store and we had parked right beside it only to find me shocked at discovering the fender emblem said "20" rather than "30" and alsso a 10 bolt front axle under it. It was a mid-80's model.
I know some of you are thinking someone switched the D60 out for a 10 bolt and switched the fender emblems, too. But upon further searches, GM did make a 3/4 ton CC IN both 2 AND 4wd versions. There are more 2wd CC's out there than 4wd CC's of either 3/4 or 1 ton.

So, yes, GM did make the 3+3 CC's in 3/4 ton, but these are gonna be the pretty rare trucks to find. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Yep I was looking at one last month.
I seen the for sale sign on it and I went and checked it out thinking it was a 1 ton.
The first thing I checked was the front axle and it was a D44. At first I was going well someone swapped it out.
Then I seen the Silverado20 badge and looked at it closer and it had a 350/350/203 in it. Which would explain the full time hubs on it as well.
And then I checked the VIN and sure enough it was a K20.
The 5K price tag was a little much for me though.

Going to make an offer tomorrow.
Wonder if the T400 has the same output shaft for 205 as for 203

Nope. Both have a different length output on the 400. If you wanted to make a 205 work, you need to find the output shaft or replace the whole tranny for a correct one. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
