Ok being a little newer to the 4x4 community, What is a cucv?
a militairy K30 that is rated a 1.25 tons. im not sure if the weight rating carries over once registered as a civilian model, but there is no difference. they have D60 and 14 bolt with detroit and 4.56 gears. normaly a 6.2L diesel but once in a great while a factory BB show up. camo in color nice bumpers with d rings and a nice brush guard. do a search for CUCV (combat utility cargo vehicle) and you will be able to find more info and pictures.
Not necessarily a 1.25 ton M1008.
They can be the Blazer version at M1009.
M1010, 1012, and 1028 are the 1.25 ton trucks also. (Don't quote me on these numbers as I keep thinking there is an M1032, but not sure)
All you ever wanted to know about CUCV's
Close; M1008 & M1008A1 (K30 pickup), M1009 (K5), M1010 (ambulance), M1028 M1028A1 M1028A2 M1028A3 (K30 shelter carrier "RATT Rig"), M1031 (K30 chassis -the basis for a Contact Maintenance Truck).
All were 6.2 DIESEL (sorry no BB) /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
I was going over to Andy's site to get my facts straight and for some reason it would not show up. Then someone else had posted it up and it works fine for me now. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
