Is curling your idea of a sport? And does it really take any athletic ability to huck an oversized puck on the ice? I really don't think it should be considered an athletic sport and it sure as hell shouldn't be included in the Olympics... Geeesh... What do you think? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Hell no,that's no real sport. They should get rid of that crap, and while they're at it, figure skating too!!! /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif

Is curling any worse than bowling? It's not my thing, but I think it takes more skill...

I guess it's easy to pick apart or slag a sport if you really want to. Hell, to be a NASCAR driver all you need to do is drive in circles for a few hours...how is that a sport? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree that it involves some skill, but so does chess. So I would call it a game rather than a sport. Like billards, golf etc. And it shouldn't be in the Olympics...

I think its funny to watch. I was in Canada during the last Olympics, and we were betting Loonies on the curling games/matches. Stupid drunk fun! As far as a sport.... maybe back in the day. It sure seems like a game of shuffle board on ice, but you get to use brooms.

With all due respect, and I do respect your opinion, its a lot harder than it looks. I happen to love it, but thats just me. To each their own I guess. Have a good one /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

It must be a Canadian thing and I don't understand... It might be real fun with beer though... Oh and make the girls wear only T-shirts... That oughta spice it up a bit... [IMG]

IMO curling is a game...not a sport, sorta like how pool is a game.
