cutting pipes

    Ive always wanted my truck to be louder and more powerful, how much power would I get by cuttin the exhaust, do I have to worry about backpressure? and would it be worth it, Im lacking funds, to do anything else, LoL, oh well, ill think of somethin

    I have cut the pipes on my '82 6.2L and let me tell you it sounded awsome.. I was just driving around town with a big smile on my face it was soo cool.. I now have 12" glasspacks they sound really good on the diesel .. they don't sound like they would on a gas .. i really like them.. I am not sure about power gains but I do know that my engine ran at the same temp with straight pipes that ended right below the front seats.. hope this helps or lets you know other people like the loudest and most powerful truck they can get for the $$$
