To anyone out there running a rear CV shaft... how many degrees did you go to point the pinion up... thought I have heard 6, but not sure...

It depends on the amount of lift. I'm running a 4 degree shim with 8" springs and 2 1/2" flip kit but I'm going to 6 degree because 4 isn't enough.

I believe it also depends on whether you are running a flip kit or not too. Since the flip kit rotates the axles also. I am running 4 degree right now with 2" spring, 4" ORD flip, and 1" ORD zero rate add a leafs and an extra leaf out of my stock spring pack. I will be switching to a 6 degree shim soon b/c my pinion angle is still off.

i will tell you from first hand exp- if you put an ORD cshckle flip, with stock springs and a 14 blt ff, the pinion will point pretty much toward the t-case. is it possible to make a cv joint using a stock d-shaft and a front axle cv connected to my 241 slip yoke???

    AIRBORNE!!
