I will be making this swap in the near future I have a feeling and I need some hard facts. I know I have posted about this in the past but this is judgement day. I need to know exactly what parts are needed and if there is any special labor. This is swapping 3\4 ton rotors on a 1/2 ton axel on my 85 blazer. Of course my local axel shop said it cant be done and the guy at advance auto parts fainted when I told him what I wanted to do. If anyone has made this swap please let me know
    Thanks
    Brent

Whoever answer's please give the total picture, i.e.
there is more to it then just rotors.
Rotor is mounted to the hub, hub/rotor rotate on spindle.
    so we have rotor,hub,spindle, bearings....
If you really mean the rotors from a Dana(Spicer) 44 to 10bolt no problem because for sertan years they are the same rotor. i.e. 78 Dana(Spicer)44 rotor is the same as 1979-8? 10 bolt rotors.
    Good luck

I think you might need the backing plate for the caliper too.

You are going to need the backing plate or also called Caliper supports, the hubs and rotors. Your existing calipers will work fine.

you need the backing plates/caliper brackets, rotors and hubs, and the bearings for the 8 lug hubs. the spindle is the same. I have the caliper brackets but no rotors and hubs.

your right. I don't understand the jeep thing!

I don't know about ya'll but i found it cheaper to buy it from O'Reilly, the hubs and rotors that is. I think each hub was 54 and the rotor was 31. Every junk yard i went to wanted 150 for the hub and rotor, i am just talking one side here. Actually pick a part wanted only like 7 but if you can even find a 4x4 in there anywhere good luck. By the way i am in houston. - later- Doug
