    thanks both of you
the hubs are external and i would rather have internal
and those adapters cost way too much

Depending on the price you can get the 8-lug conversion stuff for, it might be the same price as the adaptors. Just a thought.

actually, if you buy all of the stuff new, it costs about twice the amount of those 8lug-6lug wheel spacers. I think steve said that it cost him 575 dollars to get everything brand new?? I don't remmeber exactly.

dont know shipping yet but I can tell you what you need to do this swap and what it will cost,

    hub tool 15.00
    new seals/bearings/races-50-85.00
    new rotors-80-120.00 for both
    high temp grease- 10.00

also need a press to put hubs on the rotors or have a shop do it, because of your distance I wouldn't buy the kit from me shipping would suck at least 50.00

I also would recomend just buying an axel from a yard, should cost around 100-300.00 bucks and will save you alot of time and up front money. I don't know if you have ever done an axel swap but it is really easy plus you can sell your own axel that you have now, I also recomend this because it is really easy to find an axel with the gears you want if you call around.

there is two ways to look at this,

do the conversion, cough up the cash

    or buy a new axel

the conversion was a walk in the park and I had never even removed an axel shaft before, 200.00 bucks sounds nice but once you add shipping, it would be better ro get it locally.

I got conversion parts from a diff shop that had the axel in back, he simply cut the pumkin of the tubes and gave me the rest. I also have alot of info I saved on my computer so if your set on doing it let me know and I will send it your way. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    heres what I bought..
