D44 and 10 bolt parts

    What D44 and 10 bolt parts can be put in one another?
    Some insighte would be nice. I am having problems with my front 10 bolt and can get a D44 but it is 3.08 and i need 3.73. so i am trying to find out what can go in what. Thanks

    I'M NOT SURE.... but, I think all you can interchange is u-joints (297x). I know the axles are longer on a 44.... not sure about the ring gear and carrier though...

    Everything from the knuckle out is interchangeable. nothing on the inside is swappable.

    Ujoints
    stub axles
    spindles
    backing plates
    calipers
    locking hubs
    wheel hubs
    caliper

    That is about it though. Gears definitly are not though.

    Get yourself a 3/4 ton D44 or 10 bolt and swap the outers over to 1/2 ton stuff. That's the easy way to find 3.73 gears.

    4.10s are more common in 3/4 tons, but you're much more likely going to find a 3/4 ton rig with 3.73s than a 1/2 ton with 3.73s.
