I need to know if the threads for a 10 bolt tie rod end and the threads for the shorter end of a 73-76 D44 tie rod end (the one that doesn't include the entire tie rod)are the same. I'm asking cuz I want my buddy, Pete (yunit), to make me a rod from my 74 D44 that integrates two short-side D44 rod ends. I know my decription is kinda confusing.. but I don't know how to say it any other way... I wanna know cuz I kinda can't afford a rock rod right now /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif, and I need it to be beefier than stock /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif....

I belive they are 3/4" NF. If you can find the "center" rod from a newer 3 piece tie rod setup, it will work on a D44. IE: 1/2t or 3/4t- 10 bolt. Hope this helps
