I have been looking into a cross over steering system and was wanting to know what years the flattops are on?
Another question is this type of set up only for a lifted front end?
I was looking at my stock set up and it looks like the negitive arch springs will be in the way.
BTW I know that a D60 has them but it will be awile before I roll one under.
There are alot of other things I need to do before I get to that point.

I dont think they will work w/out a lift. I would say prob a 4" is the min. for clearance.

If ya can't stop.......Smile as you go under! [IMG]

A 6" lift is what I am going to do.
But it will be awhile before I have the money to do it.
The ORD x-over system is what I would like to get.
But I would like to find a flattop knuckle to do it.
The way I see it is when I go to a D60 I will only have to get the arm .
But right now the steering is is less to be desired at times.
You know turn the wheel all the way in one direction and the rig is still heading off in the other.
I noticed that I do not have to be to twisted up to get this.
When the lift goes on the flex will be better and more likely aggrivate the problem even more.
I just need to find a flat top knuckle to make it work.
Or am I just dreaming because they are hard to find?

Flat top d44 knuckles are SUPPOSED to be up to 76. 77' and up don't have them.
The General put a non-flattop d44 on my old 76 k10, so you really have to look. But everyone will tell you it's up to 76.

The 8 lug that I got is a 76 at least that is what the markings on it say.
And it is like the one that I have now in the 78.
