    d44 in \'84 3/4ton sub?

    Just trying to figure out what axle is in the front of a 84 3/4 ton sub. 8 lug d44 right?

    I believe it has a 10bolt...think they switched to 10bolts around 78 or 79.

    yep gm went cheap in 83' and started this 10 bolt and np208 crap

    Well, I dunno what they are on about... I have an 85 3/4 ton truck for parts in my backyard that is an 8 bolt D44 with a FF14 rear. I think maybe someone misread the question and thought it was a 1/2T.

    There are axle ID pictures around tho... do a search.
