What u-joints are in a D44? I think they're 1310's. Also-where is the best place to get replacements?

The 1310's go in the front driveshaft. If you are looking for the axle u-joints, they are either 260x(pre-'72) or 297x(73-up). Any good parts house sells them. If you are looking for the Spicers, Napa is a good source. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thanks for the info and the warm welcome. I've noticed that other sites have forums where newbies aren't treated so well...THANKS!!!!!

Welcome and where in GA? Also the Spicer replaced the 5-297x u-joint w/ the 5-760. They claim its better. NEAPCO still uses the 297 number.
