I'm replacing my Dana 44 u-joints and had them pressed in by the shop. they used the ones with the grease fitting in the end, it is not a zerk fitting but some other type. The problem is that they wont fit in the knuckle. Can I remove these and replace them with zerk fittings or will they get broken off? Or can I remove the ones that are on them and then put them back on after I slide the shaft in? Thanks

Yeah, just take the fittings off, slide the shafts in and put the fittings back on. Just make sure not to over-tighten them as they can strip out easily /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
