**CAN THIS THREAD BE MADE STICKY FOR REFERENCE?**

I have 3 kit numbers from 3 different lift manufacturers. Each has the specs of the i.d. and length, along with the indication of a bolt or stud in each box.

    SUPERLIFT #3418
    2 u-bolts: 5/8" rod x 3 1/4" i.d. x 9" i.l.
    1 u-bolt: 5/8" rod x 4" i.d. x 10" i.l.
2 studs: 5/8" coarse thread into the house casting x (length unknown as mine are installed in the axle for now.)

    RANCHO #RS738
    2 u-bolts: 5/8" rod x 3 1/4" i.d. x 8 3/4" i.l.
    1 u-bolt: 5/8" rod x 4" i.d. x 9 1/4" i.l.
2 bolts: 5/8" coarse thread x (length unknown.)

    SKYJACKER #UCCF
    2 u-bolts: 5/8" rod x 3 1/8" i.d. x 9 1/2" i.l.
    1 u-bolt: 5/8" rod x 4" i.d. x 10" i.l.
2 bolts: 5/8" coarse thread x (length unknown.)

These are 3 kits I've used personally. I have not used any other brand and therefore do not know the specs of those. I find the Rancho kit is best for soft ride springs WITHOUT zero-rates. The Superlift kit is best for HEAVY DUTY springs WITHOUT zero-rates AND/OR soft ride springs WITH zero-rates.

I was on the hunt for u bolts for my 60 a week ago.I did a search and found a BUNCH of your posts stating this info.I measured my axle but I just wanted to be double sure so I didnt have to buy them twice.I went to a shop and had them made.I had them made a little long also so not to be too short.Just gonna cut off the extra when Im done /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great info. Are the Skyjackers 3 1/8" ID or is that a typo.

You should post this under the part # thread in the member area. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Not a typo. They are 3 1/8" i.d. and that makes for a snug fit around the tubes. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

What are the finishes on each? Zinc plated (i.e. yellow/gold) or just plain hardened steel? Thanks Wes /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The Rancho's are all zinc-plated. The Superlifts are zinc on the 2 driver side u-bolts and the 1 passenger side is black while the studs are unfinished. Skyjackers are all black painted. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
