Got lucky. Went to look at it and noticed right off it didn't look like a d60. Thanked him for the 14bff. From a single rear wheel 1974 3/4 ton truck. The brakes are giving me h3ll though - froze.

His PC had a bad video card so I fixed it. Got the rear for $50.

I'd rather get a D60 for $50, but either way, cool deal. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I am taking the drums off my 14 Bolt this weekend and putting my disc kit on from my broken rear 60 and you can have whatever you need from the drum set up if you want.

I'd trade for a 6 lug d60 with 3.73 gears any day - that thing must weigh more than the small block! Plus, now I gotta go 8 lug - tires, wheels AND front 8 lug set-up. It does have 3.73 gears, though.

Typically it's cheaper to go to discs than it is to fix fawked up drums. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

also anyone know how to tell what gears are in a chevy pickup 2wd by the glovebox codes?

A friend just paid $1150 for a D60 Front w/4.10's on Monday. Nice axle but wow! My last 2 trucks didn't cost that much.

I paid $1250 for my D60 front. Low miles, 4.56 gears though so I saved by not having to rebuild the diff or do a ratio change.

I decided to go 14bff in the rear. So, I'll want to scrape up a front d60. I figured that to get everything for the d44 to go 8 lug wouldn't be worth it - just get a 60 and be done with it. I'll try to get a whole truck though for that kinda money and sell the parts out of it. If I'm patient I'll save loads of money. When everything is gathered up I'll pop it all in.

I tried this method. I waited for 2 years for a decent deal on a complete truck. I wound up buying my 4.56 geared 60F for $900. I got a smoking deal on my 14FF with 4.56's and detroit....$50 bucks! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
