d60, what year did they start using 35 spline outer\'s?

Trying to do a salvage yard search for a front d60, just wondering what year they started using 35 spline outer's. Thanks, Pete.

35 spline outers were not ever used in a STOCK ford, chevy,or dodge dana 60 but some dana 70's used a 35 spline stub that would fit inside a chevy or dodge spindel with no mod's ford stubs are about 1in shorter

The 35 spline stubs are only used on D70s. Go to your local driveline shop and tell them what you are looking for. If they don't have the dana number handy ask them to pull out the picture book. It contains pictures and specs for the dana shafts. You should expect to pay about $75/each.

    Good Luck
