Yep im going Alloy USA shafts now. 10 year no questions asked warranty. Also throwing in some longfield joints. If I break that im going to quit wheeling:haha:

Pictures?? We go wheeling not on a photo shoot:p:

ALTHOUGH keep a eye out on the outdoor channel the break and some other wheeling will be shown on the superlift offroad show. They filmed my rig alot of times and got multiple interviews with me.

Probably didn't matter much. Its very likely the break was caused by the u-joint caps working their way out of the shafts. This could have been fixed by welding the u-joint caps or using full circle retaining clips (requires aftermarket shafts or machining of stock shafts).

Looks to me like the shaft failer at the ujoint portion. Were your wheels turning full lock or just wedged that tight in the rocks?

when the wheels are turned it puts more stress on the parts. Just like a ujoing on a driveshaft that has more angle on it, it will wear joints out faster. When turned, the amount of torque on the ears of the axle are alot greater and would make more since on why they broke. If the wheels where straight then That means that there was an even amount of torque on the shafts as there was on the joint. Meaning the shaft ears broke before the ujoints did. That shouldn't happen. That is why I am wondering if the wheels were straight or turned.

Tires were straight and I didnt have very much weight on the front end since I was about verticle on the ledge. The caps were welded in in 2 spots and that is why the joint is fine. Was just to much for the ears of the shaft. I know for a fact that the ears failed first as it shot them about 20 yards either way out of the truck:haha:

Before I saw the tagline, I suspected the diff was welded. Your Lincoln Locker broke your axles.
