Well I hate to do it but not going to be able to make it. Just too much going on around here and with work. Not going to be home an aweful lot and have to get some things done around here. Sounds funny but I am not even to the busy schedule yet.

I just got back from Va yesterday, go to the "Field" next Monday, and the following Monday turn around and go back to Va for a week or so then on the ship until the 20th. Just seems that this is looking like my only time to get things done around here.

Aww, come on man. I am rushing back on Sunday to get here and then drive 500 miles to Maryland for 3 days, then back here to go TAD to Northern Va for 3 days and probably Charleston the week after that. You'll kick yourself in the ass once you see the pics and hear the stories from the weekend.

I know exactly what you mean though. You're with the MEU right? They do keep you crazy busy.

Come on James, this is going to be it until next year. Besides, that house work stuff can wait, the important part is that you will be spending quality time with your family, and us:D .

I would hate for you to miss it, but I understand that sometmes family stuff has to come first. If there is anyway to break free for the day, get on over to the Thump. We will have a seat waiting.

How about just 5:00 AM till 11:00PM? That would be about 8:00-7:00 with us wouldn't it? Those are my approximate hours myself.

    We need ya brother James!

well, I hate to say this also, but I'm not going either :( :( . with these adoption classes that we're taking, Cristy wants to get the nursery ready and this weekend will be our best bet to get the painting done. I've warned her that it may takes months before we get an infant, if we're that lucky, but she has this gut feeling. Hell, her real estate classes fell thru so she seems to think there's a reason behind it. I reckon we can call it a woman's intuition??? :dunno:

I'm sorry for those that will not be able to make. I thought this time it would all come together.

So it is not surprising that some would have us stay where we are a little longer to rest, to wait. But this group of Four Wheelers, this group of Chevy and GMC enthusiasts, this group of CK5 was not built by those who waited and rested and wished to look behind them. This Autumn Thump off road event was intended to gather the best of the Carolina’s, Virginia, Tennessee and surrounding States, by those who want to be the event, not view it on-line.

It was raining today, and today was the day that I was supposed to remove the driveshaft and look at and measure it. Tomorrow, I have to work on it rain or not.

So maybe. I'll check back in tomorrow sometime. Thanks.

Well, rain and dark, and no m-fing flashlight, I pulled the driveshaft out to measure and see what's wrong with it. The CV is toast, the shaft is ok, but the slip (female) part is stripped out. And, it's ~31-31.5 inches long which is longer than what you measured for the 700r4 shaft.

    Back to the drawing board.

    :(
