I went in and worked a rare Saturday today ( I got another raise so it was worth it) and put a 10 speed Eaton tranny in a POS Mack truck. Now the only way I know to do them is to get the input shaft kinda started the pull the jack out and lay on my back and lift and shove that prick with my legs. Well the kid I was working with said the clutch fork was all line up right so I kept on lifting and shoving for what seemed forever. After a while I was getting a bit warn out so I checked and he had the clutch fork behind the throwout bearing:doah: So I pulled it back about an inch and had him flip it the other way then picked it up and shoved that pig in. I guess lifting several hundred pounds about 50 times in a day can take a toll on a guy who is pushing 37:crazy: :doah:

So, in other words, you laid on your back and pushed real hard. Sounds familiar.:haha::haha:

But yeah, I hear ya about the new guys thing. I explain things too much and make them feel retarded some times, but it saves time, energy, and pain in the long run.

    X2...my backs F***ED!

I hurt my foot AND my back last week---took the plow off my truck, and stood it up on the blade..had to move it a few inches,so I grab on and lift ,and jerk it to one side..then I slip on some ice,my left foot goes right under the cutting edge, and it slams down on it!..I swore I cut my F'n foot in two!..:doah: :eek1:

It took me about ten seconds to get enough adrenaline flowing before I could lift it off my foot, and I screwed my back up royally doing so..had already been giving me grief when I was chopping the ice off the driveway and shoveling it,that finished it off!..been limping around all week..:(

Today I awoke to 3+" of snow, and of course my plow is NOT on the truck--last 3 times they predicted snow and I put it on,we got NOTHING!...I'm NOT looking forward to going outside and fighting with it again, and having to shovel..was hoping it will melt, but its not warm or sunny enough..this sucks!..:doah:
