Check vacuum lines first, since you said it ran great a day or so ago............then timing, make sure it didn't move on ya. Electric choke? Make sure it is getting good voltage. Keep us posted. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

the distributor is tight and hasnt moved... timing appears to be set between 7 - 8 degree's so that hasnt moved either.

Its wierd, like its starving out whenever I stand on it...
from idle to 1/2 throttle it seems to be fine.

I called a carb place today and left a message, hopefully they/he will call me back and be able to get it in.

Screw that, bring it to my house, I'll fix it, all you need is 3 bald monkeys on meth with 5 gallon buckets of starting fluid under the hood, pouring them straight into the manifold...Works for me... /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    A few details will help.
    Q-jet?
    same distributor?
Same condition when at operating temp?
The engine is fairly new so we can sorta rule that out.
With the distributor cap off can you move the advance easily?
You should be able to move the roter and it will snap back to position.
Sometimes the distibutor will get gummed up and be stuck in all the way advanced.
There are a few lil things that will give ya grief.
Carbed engines are so much easier to fix and make run right.
There are so much less things dictating on what will make it run right than on an EFI system.
Although once ya understand how and what makes an EFI engine operate it is all pretty simple realy.

tried heet and got fuel at different locations (3 tanks - 3 different places)

Its at the carb shop right now... I can deal with most stuff, but carbs are over my head.
