Dana 60 Carrier Breaks... 5.13's

    Dana 60 Carrier Breaks... 5.13\'s

    Did the search, no answer.

    I have a choice between getting a D60 with 4.10s and one with 4.56s. I'm going with 5.13s so how does the carrier break work. Will the 5.13's bolt right into the 4.56 carrier or do they sell "thick" gears, like they do for the 14 bolt, to bolt into a 4.10 carrier? The guy wants $300 more for the 60 with 4.56. Which one should I get?

    as the rest of the assembly is the same and you plan on tossing the gears it will come down to whether you need an open low break carrier or plan to run a detroit or ARB or ???
    $300 seems real high for an open carrier to me.
    I would probably get the cheaper one and send the open one to 'm j' for being so helpful
    then buy the 5.13 gears and Detroit locker you need
