I just bought a dana 60 for $75, its complete (linkage, brakes, even rims) but the carrier is shot. Would a Dana 60 carrier from a rear axle work in a Dana 60 front axle?

    thanks

this axle was from an 1985 Dodge 1 ton, Besides the spring perches, is there anything else I have to look out for?

If you mean the case, and not the carrier, then yes if the gear ratio is the same seires then they are interchangable. The side gears may have different spline counts, so if yours are ok you can reuse them
    in the case.
I f your looking for a loaded-case then you must match gaer ratio seires and side gear spline count.
    Hope this helps ya.

The rear of the Dodge is also a dana 60, and I was thinking or removing the carrier to replace the one in the front

Oops, thats the case, not the carrier, but allot of people call it the carrier.
Reread my post above they apply.
    Good luck

Do you have any facts to prove that its called the case and not the carrier?? If the case and carrier are two different things, then what is the carrier?
