I can't find my diff cover bolts /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif, had them in a bag when I was doing the rebuild but can't find them now. What size and length are they? Where can I get some? I guess just grade 8 bolts would work?

just use a small screwdriver to figure out what depth you need and then go to a bolt supply place. This would be a good opportunity to get some button-head alan-wrench bolts... they wont get caught on rocks or sheared off or anything...

    Grade 8 cover bolts??

I used 3/8 NC bolts 3/4" long and they worked just fine.

I wouldn't recommend anyone use allen head bolts. They suck to try to get out when they're old and crappy.

I agree, I end up stripping anything with allen heads anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
