Dana 60 Dually - What price makes it \"worth the trouble\"?

I've been reading the archives about the Dana 60 front axles and how the duallys are not as desireable because of the different hub assemblies. A while back Shawn Spickler had posted that the conversion parts from Boyce could be purchased on an 'exchange basis' for around $400.

My question is this: If you bought the conversion parts from Boyce....would you have the EXACT same thing as a standard Dana 60 at that point?

The reason I'm asking (of course) is that people seem to avoid the Dually Dana-60s like the plague [IMG].....so if you could find a guy who was frustrated and couldn't sell one, maybe you could get it cheap enough to make the conversion worthwhile?????

    Just thinking out loud....

<font color=blue>Go to thedeiselpages.com and find someone who wants to convert they're single wheel truck to dual wheel, and trade parts with them.

From what I am told, if you just have the outer ring of the DRW hub cut off or machined down, you'll have the same thing as a SRW hub. Sounds pretty simple...but that's just what I've been told to do, I havent got around to doing it yet.
