/forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif i have a dana 60 front but its a dually. i was wandering if i can just take off the adapter and bolt a single axle wheel on. if not what do i have to do to convert it over. i dont care that the hub sticks out as far as it dose. becouse that was the only thing i can see that is differnt. any replys are greatly apreciated.

You have afew options to convert it.

    1. Buy a set of single wheel hubs
    2. Have the dually hubs machined so that the outer ring can be welded close to the rotor mounting flange.
    3. Buy 2 hummer wheels for $55 each and just run the dually.

I am thinking of going with the hummer wheels. For $55 shipped to my door its the cheapest option and beadlocks are only another $55 each!

Hummer rims with bead locks sounds like a PLAN. burbBoy do you have any pics of your truck? I'd really like to see it.

I will hopefully have some Monday or Tuesdat scanned in and posted. It looks quite interesting with the top off. Here is a list of what i did.

Cut suburban from rear doors back off.
Took 8' truck box cut 2' out of the front and welded it on.
K5 blazer top and front part of the top sealing part from the K5 and welded the sealing area to the burbans body and clamped the top down
I was surprized at how the body lines lined up with the box just sitting on the frame rails. Hopefully the pictures to come will show you what was done.
