I need something tuff for my front end!!! But remember people... I just bought a 4" lift kit for a half ton blazer... will this new diff have an effect on the diff?? or could I make up for it with a quad shock setup??? Please somebody let me know what the hell I should go with for the front of my truck... where can I find them..(vechile types that come with them) and how much it would cost me to have one freshened up!! /forums/images/icons/confused.gif I would really appreciate it... thanks!!!!!!!

K30's (Chev or GMC one ton 4x4 77-91)...or one ton Dodge (newer, pre-coil spring. 85-93?) A few guys are running the dodge front ends so they can be made to fit. The differences are small apparently.

Another option is the front diffs from a military 5/4 ton 4x4. Basically a K30 for the military. These will run you a bit more initially but are usually low mile and have great gears (4.56's)

You might be talking about medium duty trucks, which are usually 2WD. A K30 is a one-ton Chevy pickup. It looks just like a half-ton or 3/4-ton, but it has different stuff underneath.
