Dana 60 Price???

    Is $500 for a Rear Dana 60 and a Front Dana 60 from a junkyard a good price??? Thanks for input...

    Yes that is a good deal. Especially for the pair. The front alone is worth alot more than that! Assuming it is all there and in descent shape!

    Make sure the front is not closed knuckle design, it is not as strong as the open knuckle design. Though I would imagine it is still better overall than a Dana 44. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Yeah, I didnt say it, but my response was assuming (which should never be done...I know /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif) it was an open knuckle chevy front D60.... /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

    Open knuckle means the u-joint part of the axle is open right??? Thanks.. If yes that is what axle I am getting.

    They are both 60's... The owner is a pretty old guy. I don't think he knows much about them. So I figure what the heck... There are all kinds of 60's and 14 bolts laying around... All the axles are already cut from the vehicles...
