What needs to be done in order to bolt up a ford or dodge dana 60 rear end to my 88 jimmy? Is the only difference the spring perches?

Perches, u-joints, and brake fittings. Double check your shock mounting locations too.

Gotta be careful when ya go Dana 60 rear. Alot of the early 60's were coarse splined units and won't be much stronger than what you have. Try for later models an still check. Real easy on a full floater to just undo the axle bolts on the hub and slide out the axle to be sure they are 35 spline. Other than that probably perches and shock mounts. I like the 3/4 ton 14 bolt because it's basically a bolt on. New u-bolts and you are in there. Of course re-locate the shock mounts. 60's are cool though.
