Good question! I think most people here have the 10,12 and 14 bolt rears.

Are they the same diameter as the front axle?

The older D60 rears, like on the Fords, usually have around 3" tubes. I have seen some D60 rears that had a 2 3/4" tube before. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif But those were on the older cars and trucks.

The size you mentioned, 3 3/8", is the tube diameter for the 14FF. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'll confirm that.... My '72 parts truck had a 60 rear also. The tube was smaller that the 14FF, and bigger that a D44 front, so that puts it right around 3" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

hmmmm.. now im lost, they appear to be tiny bit larger than 12 10 bolt tubes. but mayeb not, hmm... wish i had a pair of calipers... looks pretty close to same as the 14 bolt ff sitting next to it.. cant tell for sure though.

    hmmm..

    thanks
