Ask what its out of. I didnt think chevy ever used the D70 in any of their light duty trucks (up to 1 ton). You are prolly gonna have to do some fabrication to get it to fit.

Crwln73 has a Dana 70 full floater with 5.86s in the rear of his truck.I think he said it came out of a Dodge truck.

GM D70s came only in dually C/K30 trucks (not cab-n-chassis trucks). If it is a GM axle, it is likely far too wide for your needs.

Same width as a SRW GM C14FF? Or same width as a GM dually D70?

Great, I didn't know that. I thought that's probably what you meant, just wanted to make sure. Beats fooling with a GM D70 if you want more gear/locker options than the C14FF provides...

apparently there are 2 different carriers for that dana 70---the one he bought when he orderd a detroit locker it looked just like the 14's detroit----and it even cost about the same.-he's getting ready to slap it under his truck here pretty soon---if he hasn;t done it already ill get some pics w/ some measurements.---he is a machinest(sp?) and he even fabbed up his own disk brake setup--looks prett slick
