Dana 70 u-bolt size ?

    Anyone know what size the u-bolts are for a dana 70 rear? Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

    I have heard they are 4" inside diameter. They are larger than a 14bff for sure.

    My Chiltons says the axle tubes are 4" in diameter.

    It's going to depend on which D70 you have. Most have smaller tubes like a 14 bolt but the D70HD (only) has the 4" tubes.

    You're right. The 4" was for the D70 HD. Sorry...forgot to mention that.

    I knew there was two sizes... the bigger one got used in Dana 70's in the C/K series (presumably 4"). The smaller one (Presumably 3.5") got used in the P and G series vans.
