I am looking for a Dana 60 front axle. How can I tell the difference between a Dana 44 and Dana 60? I know the 60 is bigger but there must be a easy way to tell them apart.

go to the the technical section at the top of the page and go down to the axle identification section and it should tell you all the info you need to know.

The first, unmistakeable way that I figure it out is to look for balljoints. If it has balljoints, it's not a Dana 60.

    Look at the steering arm. A 44 will have 3 bolts a 60 4

my dana 60 says 60 right next to the cover plate on the front.
