I have a D44 with 6lug hub&rotor, spring under, auto hubs(chrome cap) complete from hub to hub. I think it may have been from a fullsize jeep or mabie something else. It is shorter on the pass side than my D44 so I know the axels won't work but how about from the spindel out? ANyone ever use such an axel for parts? The tie rod is a two piece deal if that help figure out were this axel came from...

most likely a Jeep Grand Cherokee, or some thing along that size, i think, i repeat, think, that a bunch of the parts interchange.

    Sounds like a J10/Wagonner. Is it a L/H drop?

Sounds like a Cherokee or Wagoneer. The Jeep axles are narrower than GM. The GW is real narrow, like around the width of a Wrangler. The chrome caps are covering full time drive hubs. No auto lock or anything like that, it is fully engaged all the time. The parts do interchange w/ D44s, (because it IS a D44) so I guess they would also go to a 10 bolt. The D44s from Jeep fullsizes came left and right side differential. After about 80 I think they went to left side drop.
