Has anyone used the hard plastic dash cover that is advertised in JC Whitney and LMC to cover a cracked dash? If so how does it look/fit?

    Thanks,
    Dave

It's just mud how deep can it be?

I got mine through LMC, and it looks good, but it is now starting to come loose in spots, and rattles against the drivers door while driving - annoying as hell. I took my time and put the silicone in all the right spots, but still it has come a bit loose.

what do you know about replacing the entire dash in say an old 74 k5 with a newer more modern looking say something out of the 90's. not possible is it. should i just dream up my own fabrication and dials and gadgets and make my own?

If it can't be broken then I haven't had it.

What color are you looking for??I have a '81 blue that is in perfect shape that I'd sell for $75+shpping.Also have the 81 bezel and guages....make a package deal. You need to modify the early metal dashes to fit the '81 and up(very easy job!!).Bluesman

I was dreaming of a charcoal/black interior to go with my soon to be bright yellow or orange exterior. haven't decided on that one yet. just gotta get rid of the old tan colors. only ask about the new style dash because i would like to see my dials w/o sticking my head through the stearing wheel

If it can't be broken then I haven't had it.
