Hi, this is my first post and this is 2nd Chevy. I just bought
a 1992 S-10 4 door , and the gear indicator on the dash is broke. I had it apart there are 2 cables back there they are
cut (worn) it has to go to the column right??

Yup, that is correct. The end of the cable should have a metal clip on it. It clips to the edge of the steering column on the lower right hand side.
