I need to replace the dash on the 89 Jimmy. It has a medium blue interior, but I can't find a medium blue dash for that year. Check all over the net. Does anyone know what kind of dye to get?

Autozone sales some Dupli-Color Vinyl paint that is Slate Blue that I think will be the closest match. Summit Racing sales a spray dye that might be close also. I went through the same thing a couple of years ago. You're not going to have an easy time finding a match because things fade over time.

SEM vinyl dye is supposed to be *the* stuff.

Haven't used it myself, but everyone that has is pleased that I'm aware of.

I don't know if you have looked but JC Whitney sells replacement dashes in an asortment of colors. I don't really like their catalog much because they are pricey but they always have what your looking for.

I'll second the thoughts on SEM, plus they will likely have a exact color match. I've used it several times and it seems to be better than the other stuff I've tried. Look for SEM at a automotive supply store.
