Watching this show right now, who also likes it?
I used to watch it but then it got old...
Same thing every episode..some boats get crabs, others dont, not very interesting
I'm more watching it cause I want to see how the boats themselves fare this year. One boat's had to head back to port two times already because one of her engines, the same one, has blown up two times in a row. First time it was just a head gasket blowing, second time, one of the pistons grenaded, taking the cylinder liner, cylinder head, and con rod with it. That boat's still in port so far in this episode, getting more repairs. Rookie captain taking over this season on another boat.
my parents are watching it right now. i find it more interesting to sit in the yard and watch the grass grow.
I like it, but I just started watching too. I imagine it could get boring. Dirty Jobs is awesome though
Dirty Jobs kicks ass!
Dang! On the new episode of Deadliest Catch, one boat without a film crew on it almost had a greenhorn crewmember jump overboard from mental breakdown! Boat had to race back to port to drop him off, and then on the way back out, that same boat got broadsided at the end of the episode, turning onto it's side and crippling it.
I watch it every week. I like how they left us in suspense.
there hasnt been any new shows for a while though
Reason why is because the King and Opelio Crab seasons, the fishing seasons they were filming, only come late in the year up there in Alaska. The rest of the time not a lot of fishing goes on in the Bering Sea I guess. At least fishing that makes good television. The Discovery Channel sent their camera crews up there late last year, filmed the fishing crews and their boats, and spent the first couple months of this year readying the footage for airing.
i was talking about dirty jobs
Oh, that's because Mike Rowe's been up there in Alaska hosting the new season of Deadliest Catch, and they're right now filming a new season of Dirty Jobs currently.
I like it. I like any shows about the ocean and boats. I kinda miss being at sea (don't miss the Navy though).
I should get a job like my neighbor has in the Merchant Marines or something. He's out to sea for 3 months and then home in Colorado for 3 months.
ive watched a coupel of the episodes of this show,
im interested in this because ive never seen a sea or real boat or anything remotely close to this kind of stuff, and im like fascinated by it all, and so much so that i think id want to go be a deckhand if i was ever given the opportunity
yes its dangerous and everything but i like to work hard and i could handle it, unless the boat sank or something, other than im scared of nothing, except extreme heights, im jaded in life, done all that i can do around here and lifes just life now, all i see from here on out is a crazy insane mankind on a planet it is ruining slowly but surely and all the fighting and killing and and..
i would have nothing to lose, have no family, or anything else, so hm..
if only i knew how to sign up for this job or some other job this crazy, id be there in a heartbeat hmm
til then ill keep watching i guess
if anyone knows anything then lemme know,
i like it, i watch it pretty often... that one boat had engine problems because its got detroit diesels in it... it needs cats.
You guys see last week's episode of how the Northwestern and the Cornelia Marie both played tricks on each other? I liked the Cornelia Marie's payback idea with the pipe on the pot retrieval line! LOL
Muddysub, why don't email the Cornelia Marie's captain then and tell him to do just that, replace his Detroits with Cats.
