Along with maybe trimming rear fender, how hard is it to debadge the Blazer. Ive got front fender badge and one on the back quarter. Looks like they maybe screwed in place or pushed on with a clip. Once yanked what to do about the holes?

if there the type that has the sheet metal nut on the back side you can weld up the holes or use fiberglass to fill them, if they are just held on by glue just use thinner and it will remove whats left of the glue

LMC sells repros ... as does, err, Classic Performance or whatever Chevy Duty is called now.

Depending on trim level (Cheyenne, standard, whatever) you should have the the Cheyenne round ones in the back, and the two K/5 logos on the front quarters. Check out my

    http://brochures.slosh.com

pages for details on what your truck looked like new.

Well I saw a 87 Burb all black with only chrome being bumpers and rain drip edge de badged and where the front ones were they had used what looked like the black plastic push screws and is what I plan to do to mine it looked pretty dang sharp.

Plus note if you sell truck and new owner wants to put them on they can.

an old customizer friend of mine by the name of Darrell Starbird, showed me a trick with a nail. find a nail that is the same size or as close as you can get to the hole. Stick it in the hole and then spot it with a mig, cut the head then spot it all the way and grind it off smooth you won't even be able to tell it's there.

I can't remember when the badges changed to the "starburst" design on the front fender. I know that '73s and '74s had a different emblem that had a large K5 rather than a starburst.

I have NOT been able to find this emblem (repo) anywhere. (Chevy,LMC,Golden State, Paddock, Year One, and ChevyDuty DON'T have 'em) I also can't find the correct grille. It seems these first 2 years of the 2nd gen (73,74) were rare enough that they aren't making the stuff for 'em. I've had to scrounge mine off Ebay and such.

If anyone knows where to find them, I'd love to know.

PS> the reproduction stuff will FIT, it just isn't 'correct' for 73, 74 if you're worried about that sort of stuff..... Damn my OCD.....

So, on my '84, what is the proper way to remove the from fender badge and the one at the back? Id like to preserve them incase I want to put em back on.

On my 1987 they had a nut on the back of the front ones. One stud broke off while removing it from old fender. There like the stud and nuts for dash trim.
