Hey Rene. Thanx, it's good to be back !

I doubt if I'll mount the whole thing, just the rack. I double-lunged it from over 100 yards with a shotgun. It's my first hunting in Illinois. I'm pretty happy with it. It's not a great picture, but he went around 185 lbs or so. I'll have better pics fron my 35mm camera when I get them developed.

Over a hundred yards with a shot gun ... please tell me you were using a slug! Nice anyway with a shot gun at that distance. Take still hunting with a shotgun over, the reach out and touch someone with, a rifle any day!

I use a rifled barrel with Sabot slugs. I was putting them right on the center of the target when I sighted it in from 35 yards. No scope, open sights. It weighed around 185 lbs. so it should fill my freezer up pretty good.

Thats a real nice buck you got too Riz!
Mine's not a whitetail, its a mule deer. I got him about a half hour drive from home with a .308
Also have Elk, Antelope, Bighorns, and Mountain goats close by. Lots of mountain lions too.
