Anyone else fascinated by these cars? We saw one tonight and I grabbed a couple quick photos (I'll post them from work tomorrow).
They sure are eye catchers with the Stainless body. I was really into them for awhile, and I learned they're almost like super-glorified Datsun Zx's.. Still way cooler than a Datsun...

One of my friends in the CardinalCars.org car club has one. Its pretty wild. Alot like sitting a feiro with gullwing doors. There aren't any pics of it on our website yet, but it should be at the world of wheels in Columbus, Ohio this year with our club cars. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

He also has a corvair

My Uncle has one with like 7,000 miles on it in his garage. Hasn't been off of jackstands in like 10 years since there's something wrong with it and the parts to fix it aren't available. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

John Delorean was the chief designer for Pontiac in the 60's. We can all thank him for the GTO !!!!! He fought the board of directors to get a Pontiac mussel car into production. The board didn't want it, but he just dropped thier largest motor into the Tempest/Lamons body and called it the GTO. It was such a hit that Pontiac decided to build the Firebird/Trans Am sister cars to Chevrolet's Camaro/Z-28. Now ol'Johnny boy did **** up by smuggling cocaine into the states in his cars in the 80's.

You should have put a shaker hood on the "mussel" car. At least Z3PR is a really good sport. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah Delorean was trying to pull off miracles producing the cars in Ireland because of the unemployment factor there. Trying to get a grant from the English Govt. Compromised on a Peugeot drivetrain that sucked. Malcolm Bricklin came up with a safety car named the SV-1 that was very similar in '74....until somebody figured that the gull-wing doors don't open too good if the car is on it's roof. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
