Ok here is the low down. I bought my 88 K5 putting a 6inch lift on right now as I was pulling the rear axle assemble out I noticed that the hole that the shocks go into on the pass side is broken and the Dr side someone has tryed to repair this before and did a half ass job. So the question is is there anyone in the metro area that can make and weld a bar to go across the frame to put longer shocks on and move the spring mounts on the 14 bolt? At a reasonable fair price.
    Thanks,
    Bo

Talk with Tim at 4x4 Iron. He did the shock mounts on Toby's truck and they are awesome. After talking with Toby and Tim about the way Toby has his I am going with that setup ASAP. (basically as soon as I have cash) I have been without shocks (rear shocks) for awhile now. (6 months)

I have gotten used to it somewhat, I drove all the way to Ft. Collins from AZ without them.

Oops. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I thought Tim did them for you. I wasn't sure though as there was a lot of conversations that night, and it turned into a really long night/early morning so everything got a little jumbled. I am sure Tim could do that though.

I did Toby's front shock mounts, Watson did his rears. I am going to do something along those lines on mine as I really like how Watson did them.

Back to topic, I can help you out if you need it 303-617-7854.

    Hey Tim,
Can you give me a general idea of what the price maybe?
I know its hard to give a price untill you see the rig.
I should have it up and running in about 3 weeks.
