So my Dad, my brother, my dads friend and his son, and I all drove 5 hours from Chicago to Detroit for the Autorama world of wheels show at Como hall. We went mainly to support our friend from town in the "Riddler", he made it to the great 8 with his unreal 59 impala. This is one of the most prestine awards, as Chip Foose has one a few times including last year, I even got his autograph. Great show. Also have been leaning towards a rat rod as my next project this has just sealed the deal, great stuff. Was anyone else there/and or how do you like the 59? I know its everything we are against here, as it will never be driven, let alone hard, with a 540 CID dynoed at 700 horses before the 2 225 shots of nitrous... will never be used... but this man knows perfection and this car hit it right on the head. Also me next to the GM glass at the hotel (right next to GM headquarters...)

Never seen it done before, but that 56 Bel-Air trim looks bitchin' on that 59!

If you like "rat rods", you should check out the Billetproof Detroit show this summer.

That chrome was one off hand hammered out of brass then chrome plated, thousands of hours went into that alone, the care was absolutely immaculate. I talked to some guys about that show, but i live in Chicago, and its quite a drive lol. Theres a great show around here called Hunnert Car Pile Up.
